Community Outreach

The Hood Church is active in the community by meeting needs. Some of our community outreach activities over the many years of ministry are we have created care packages for students at Virginia University of Lynchburg, we supported the Parkview Mission for the food insecure, bought clothes, shoes and supplies for school children, paid for caps and gowns for high school students at EC Glass to allow them to participate in their graduation and threw a Spring Evangelism & Outreach event for kids called the 12th Street Stomp with speakers, gospel rap performers and a step show to name a few. Some of the organizations we support are Interfaith Outreach, D's Diaper Bag, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, One for Israel, Hunton Randolph Community Center and Operation Smile. We are adamant about obeying and pleasing God by taking care of the poor, widows and orphans.
